Is CoderDojo suitable for me / or someone I know?

CoderDojo is for anyone who wants to learn how to: program computers and mobile phones, build robots, build websites, hang out with people who think that doing that type of thing is cool…

Am I smart or experienced enough?

We have people who have never used a computer through to those who have sold their own programs and everything in between. As long as you’ve got an interest we’re sure you can learn everything else.

What ages does a ninja have to be to attend?

Dojo is suitable 7 – 17

What is a ninja?

A Ninja is a young person who attends a dojo.

How do I get tickets?

To receive an invitation for tickets add your email to the class announcements list on our website http://coderdojobalbriggan.com we’ll send out notifications of tickets a few days ahead of each session. We also post to Facebook.

How much is it to attend?

Sessions are free for everyone to attend. Mentors give up their time for free.

What type of streams/courses are there?

We currently focus on Scratch for all levels, a programming language designed for young people. However if a ninja wishes to learn something else we are more than happy to support and we actively encourage ninjas to learn other things such as HTML, Python, Arduino and Blender.

We have ninjas who have built projects using Google AIY, Java (minecraft Modding) and Raspberry Pi too!
